We are very excited about this month.  First and foremost is Valentine’s in August.  It will be celebrated Friday, August 17th from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm and Sunday, the 19th from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm and again for dinner beginning at 5:00 pm; reservations are required.  The elegant, 5-course menu is $85 per couple, plus tax and gratuity and includes:

 

Chef’s Amuse Bouche

Creamy Artichoke Soup with Jumbo Lump Crabmeat and Lemony Mushrooms

Red & Yellow Grape Tomato Salad with Mozzarella, Kalamata, and Capers

Seared Whitefish with Mustard Mousseline

Steak Diane (Sliced Filet Mignon in Cognac Sauce)

Chocolate-Banana Crepes with Champagne Toast

 

As noted in last month’s letter, I had planned to host this special occasion on the 11th and 12th, but have rescheduled to better accommodate guest vacation schedules.  Please call today to reserve your table for a wonderful, mid-year celebration with your Valentine!

 

Our Small Plates Cuisine event for August 24th is sold out.  In September, our chef will prepare an End of Summer Clambake instead of the usual, appetizer-portioned Small Plates Cuisine menu on Friday, September 28th.  It will feature summer soup, flounder, fresh Maine lobster, clams, mussels, shrimp, smoked sausage, spoonbread, corn, potatoes, tomatoes, dessert, plus several of Paul’s special summer drinks; market pricing based on Maine lobster.

 

Our regular dining service: Saturday and Sunday dinner beginning at 5:00 pm, and Sunday breakfast/afternoon dinner from 10:30 am1:30 pm; reservations are strongly recommended.  We will be closed August 18th for a private party, but we will be open Sunday, the 19th for brunch until 12:00 pm and Valentine’s in August beginning at noon and again at 5:00 pm as noted above.
